Native Cottage

Hidden away in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Austin, TX is a cozy cottage. Landscaping inspiration was taken from traditional English cottages made feasible in the Central Texas landscape through incorporation of native plants. A cottage style garden filled to the gills with colorful blooming native plants is parted by a local flagstone path.  Stone retaining walls separate the lawn from the stone driveway and the curved pool edge is softened thorough the tropical plant palette. A whimsical mixture of blooms and foliage are the stars of the show year round. A trellis, an arbor, and gorgeous front yard welcome guests in traditional cottage fashion.
